Airport Lisbon International Airport (LIS) located 6 km from the city centre, is served by all major international airlines. You may either take a taxi or public transportation to your hotel. Going from the airport to the city centre may take from 15 minutes to 1 hour (on rush hours and/or public transportation).
There are two taxi stands within the perimeter of the airport, one at
arrivals and the other at departures.
The fare on the taxi meter should read 2.50 € (daytime pick-up). Outside the city limits, city fares are charged per kilometer (km=0.42). 1.60 € is charged for the transportation of luggage or animals. Before taking a taxi, inquire about the fare. Please note that an additional 20% is charged for services on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays and for nighttime service from 9pm to
6am.

You can also choose to go to the city centre by Carris bus. Listed below are the bus route numbers with the respective names of
their final destinations. The airport stop is located mid-journey for these
routes.
- bus 5 - Estação do Oriente / Aeroporto / Areeiro;
- bus 22 - Portela / Aeroporto / Marquês de Pombal;
- bus 44 - Moscavide / Aeroporto / Cais do Sodré;
- bus 745 - Prior Velho / Aeroporto / Estação Sta. Apolónia;
- bus 83 - Portela / Aeroporto / Amoreiras.

The Aerobus (bus 91) makes the connection between the
Airport and the city centre. Service begins at 07h45 and ends at 20h15.
Buses pass every 20 minutes. The ticket may be purchased from the driver
as you board the bus. Ticket for all-day travel: 3.35 €.
Although the Airport is not yet served by the Metro network, the nearest
Metro stations are 15 minutes away by bus (Gare do Oriente or Areeiro stations).
Metro Lisbon is served by a reliable
